First weather reports are in: moderate wind possible

From weather.com, the FRIDAY, April 25th forecast (as of Sunday morning) calls for good weather with 13mph winds. This level winds means on land that dust, leaves, and loose paper are lifted and small tree branches move and white caps will appear on water  according to the Beaufort Wind Scale. Keep in mind that there are many micro-climates in SF and this is a general wind speed. Local conditions can improve or deteriorate that forecast. That’s not too bad for the constructions but let’s hope for even less wind than that. In the meantime, please plan accordingly for your Archistructure!

  1. HW Says:

Please clarify the amount of construction time alot for the teams.

On the hompage page of the website, under The Rules heading, #4 states: “Teams have only 4 measly hours to construct…”; however, The Event (orange) area of the page states “competition begins” at 9 am, “tools drop” at 12pm. which give us only 3 hours - not 4 hours to construct of models.

How hours do we really have. Please restate the timeline schedule. Thanks.
